Empty Streets (Kallar jag den än så länge, en liten låt jag har skrivit)

I live in a town full of people, who do not respect eachother
They do not share a thing, and they just do not bother

They walk around in silence, barely lookin' up
Scared of what could happen if they once tried

Who made it like this? Was it someone, or was it fate?
An atmosphere of darkness in the air

Empty streets and chilly winds, that's what we are used to here, but I want to believe there's something better
They said the time was gonna change, they said our life was good, but in my fuckin' ass it was

I live on a hill of rocks, a stony, grey neighnourhood
Not twenty feet from closest hang-out-place, where nobody goes

It should be something behind those clouds, up there in the rainy sky
Somebody to talk to, somebody to trust in, by the lonely nights of pain here

Who made it like this? Was it God or a coincidence?
An atmosphere of injustice and fear

Empty streets and chilly winds, that's what we are used to here, but I want to believe there's something better
They said the times were gonna change, they said our lives would be good, but in my fuckin' ass they were.
